Cats, porn and pandas
Cats, porn and pandas. Or the three P's. Three topics that always do well in the online battle for likes and clicks.
It's not exactly science at all. However, there are a number of tips for those who want to attract clickers online. News sites and social networks are simply dripping with videos and articles with sensational titles. So experience teaches us a thing or two. Because lists always score, here are six tips to get attention on the web.
1. Put persuasive words and a question mark in the title
For example: because, new, free, you, now, finally, ...
And ideally throw in a question: “Have you taken an Instaweather yet?” instead of “Instaweather is the new hype”
2. Choose cats, porn or pandas as your subject
and not: economics or politics. Crime, disasters, the weather or the ordinary score well.
3. Make it a list or a quiz

4. Release emotions
Indignation, humor, anger ... success guaranteed
5. Disgust readers, but not too much
for example: “What's really in your fast food” or: “Looking at breasts makes you live longer”
6. Write a good story
A story just has to be good. Packaging alone usually won't cut it.
