Restarting after the lockdown: download this marketing checklist
It's almost time. On May 11, Belgian stores will hold a big "re-open day". Don't just be practically prepared, but also think about your marketing. The ideal tool for this? Our handy checklist (you can download a PDF by clicking on the image below). Good luck!
- Adjust your opening hours (again): on your website, on Google My Business, on social media.
- Send out an email or newsletter with all the information about the reopening.
- Report your reopening via Facebook/Instagram and advertise in your region.
- Also make it visually clear (in the week before the reopening) that you are reopening. Hang something in your shop window or at the entrance. Place some nice signage.
- Register your business at https://koopinjebuurt.be/, the Flemish support point for local entrepreneurs.
- Convert the requirements and measures associated with your reopening into fun communication and promotions. For example, create an original route in your store with stickers.
- Put a spotlight on a product that responds to current events: doing chores, walking/cycling, gardening, internet, watching TV, games, cooking...
- Address the regional press with a press release.
- Join forces (figuratively!) with other entrepreneurs: put together a package for Father's Day, create a 'lockdown survival kit' with handy tools/products for home ...
- People walk more than ever. Provide a shop window with stopping power.
- Invest in your online presence. If the coronavirus has changed one thing about our purchasing behavior, it is that we have placed massive online orders in recent weeks.
